Nyamanagu Village Project
In Nyamanagu village neighbours the Bochoroke Village in Masaba North District of Nyamira County in Kenya. Mend the Gap is raising funds to build an Early Childhood Development Centre with three classrooms at the village, a tea-buying centre and two bridges. The tea-buying centre, once operational; will decrease by half the 7-mile round trip for the tea farmers who currently transport their heavy crops manually.
The bridges will allow students easy access to Kebirichi primary and Kebirichi secondary school. It will also allow easy access and safe crossing to the market for goods and farm produce for farmers on either side of the river.
Links from the UK are being continuously made with the Nyamanagu village project, for volunteers, interns, students and adults to visit and work alongside the local residents on their projects.
