A variety of projects are planned to initiate and strengthen financial independence for community groups in Kenya. These include strengthening of group activities for a poultry project, a community media and music group, and a youth project.
Other projects in the pipeline to support financial independence include micro-credit programmes in Kenya. The charity will fund local organisations to provide low interest funds, guaranteed by the community members. Access to such credit, is not currently available and will allow these communities to break out of the poverty cycle. In the UK, some communities experience similar difficulties accessing credit, and the charity will offer access to professional advice to overcome this.
